K. B. moved from Bamenda to Calgary in 2017 for a graduate program in mechanical engineering. He has been sending small amounts to his cousins back home for about three years. Mostly airtime, occasionally a chunk for tuition when one of them was between semesters.
He almost closed the sign-up page the first time he hit it. The phone number field made him hesitate, and the marketing copy was a little louder than he was used to. He left the tab open for a day, came back to it on a Sunday evening, and signed up before he made dinner.

The next morning, our system credited his account with eight free entries based on his past airtime spend with three partner providers. He did not have to do anything except verify the phone number, which the system had already pulled from one of the partners.

One of K. B.'s free entries pulled the community tier the following weekend. The prize is $500 by design. It is not life-changing. What he told us mattered was that the wire cleared in five business days, the case number was real, and the email came from a person on our payouts team and not from a no-reply address.
He has since referred four friends, all of whom now send through us at least once a month. Two of them got their own free entries the morning after they signed up.
